On the Graffiti Beat--is it Art or Not?I definitely think that graffiti is art. Just because most of the artists are unknown and it is usually posted in places where it is not supposed to be and there is no money involved, does not mean that its not Art. It is just a different type, and maybe the artist is not looking for all that attention. It is just a way of expressing your own self and getting messages out that you feel people need to know about. This graffiti painting was by an artist who is obviously very talented and loves super mario. It took probably a couple days to complete and it turned out a beautiful piece of artwork.
